A New Company for a New Era of Hospitality

By way of a brief introduction…

From 2015 until this month, I ran a creative agency for hospitality. If you know me, you’ll know this. But if you don’t, then here’s a little info.

The Rebel Company

With my team and a cracking group of collaborators, we helped some of hospitality’s biggest brands to solve their most pressing challenges.

Here are the highlights -

📌 We created restaurant concepts for hotel groups including Marriott and Hilton

📌 We worked with hotel brands including Moxy to define and implement sector-leading lobby, food and beverage experiences across Europe and the USA

📌 We got amongst it with Rosa’a Thai Cafes as they grew from four to fourteen sites. Building culture, engagement, and a better brand experience

📌 We collaborated with London indies including Sager + Wilde, building successful businesses around their guests and the people they employed

📌 We helped BrewDog serve better food and make people passionate about beer

But as a founder with a multitude of responsibilities outside of doing the work, I was taken further away from the coal face. And I wanted this to change.

 
 

My case for action

The last two years have changed hospitality.

I speak to people who are really struggling with their relationship with their business. But I also see optimism, hope and determination. I relate to all of this.

The pressure is on to be the best we can be. To stand out from the crowd and unite people around our businesses.

My superpower is doing this work. Bringing people along for the ride. So that’s what I’m setting out to do with this venture.

To be a part of the team. To be where the action is.

To bring together a unique set of skills to help new and growing hospitality businesses to stand out from the crowd, recruit and keep great people, delight guests and achieve their financial goals.

Brand changes everything

Brand is so much more than a division of marketing that’s preoccupied with logos, websites, visual identity and social media. It touches everything.

And everyone who comes into contact with a business.

In the true sense of the word, brand is what unites my skills, interests and passions. Culture, connection, food and drink experiences.

It’s about the craft.

One thing, that at the same time, is everything.

Brand = emotional engagement over time.
